Why is my webcam LED light on even if i’m not using the webcam?

I have a dell inspiron laptop, and i’ve noticed that the webcam LED light ( the blue light near the camera) goes on and blinks even though i’m not even using my webcam. This doesn’t happen so often, but still, i’m curious. Could someone please help? I want to know why it is on, what it means, and if it is bad then how to stop it. thank you

i think the light detecting sensors are having problem , or your diver is not configured properly .
that’s it . nothing to worry about .
