How do you connect a laptop to a projector?
I just bought a new EPSON powerlite 83+ and it came with cable and ac adapter. I have need to connect it to my DELL XPS M1530. There is a place in my laptop where the cable fits. it has the matching of holes with the cable and fits in. But the screen dosnt come up. so i tried connecting it to my desktop and it had a blue reciever. the display came up this time. this could be because the the desktop has xp and my laptop has vista. How do i make it show up in my laptop??
When you hook it up to your laptop, the laptop needs to be told to output the video to the external video port that you connected to. Usually it’s an “F” key that you need to use. Look for one of the “F” keys along the top row of number keys that has a small symbol of a computer screen or lettering that says CRT/LCD or something along those lines. Press and hold the Function “F” key along with the key you found then release, this should activate the output video you need. You may need to press it one more time in case it doesn’t work right away.
Best of luck.
