Laptop Ram 8gb

is 8GB of RAM too much for a new laptop?

I will be running Windows 7 on this (64 bit) and will be using it for business purposes. I want the laptop to be future proof, which is why I want to up the RAM to 8gb. Plus I’m fed up of having slow processing etc on my laptop at the moment, as I use photoshop, dreamweaver etc together for my business. Is 8GB RAM too much? Or is it just right? Thanks in advance.
versions of PS and DW are CS3. Not sure if their 32 or 64 bit. Ive heard they will work though.

You should tell us about your processor. Speed depends on RAM and processor cycles.

Win7 will support 8G of RAM; the question is, will Photoshop and Dreamweaver (which versions, you don’t tell us???).

With the advent of an OS that supports high memory content, the software will follow; so, I suspect that you have future-proofed yourself sufficiently.
